COYUCHI bedding has an exceptionally soft, inviting hand -- a natural
opulence.
Coyuchi bedding uses upland cotton for its heartiness and yield which is grown organically
in India. This means communities and individuals are spared exposure to herbicides,
insecticides and chemical fertilizers, have better soil quality with
improved water retention and overall maintenance of their ecosystems.
Every fiber of cotton used for Coyuchi bedding is produced in accordance with the standards set forth by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM).
Once harvested the cotton is minimally processed without chemicals or
resins. Minimally processed means only washed, dried, sanforized (a mechanical processing involving a rubber pad and heat), no softeners, no resins - nothing else.
The thread counts vary from fabric to fabric and with each production run
but are in the 230-250 range. We recommend buying bedding based on feel
rather than thread counts which has become a buzz word among conventional bedding.
Note: Color variations are common among organic cotton products. Variations in climate, rainfall and time of picking all affect the color of the cotton. This means that each lot of yarn and fabric is unique. These color differences assure the product has not been dyed and reflect nature's subtle changes from season to season and field to field. Coyuchi "white fabric" is bleached using hydrogen peroxide only.
I must say, the customer service so far has been exceptional! Thank you for that, it's wonderfully refreshing. Jerusha
The product was exactly as I expected, but what stands out is the customer service. It was superior: easy to contact, responsive, courteous, and prompt. Thanks so much. Carol
