Pure Silk Sheet Sets. A classic stylish look from Empress Silk, sandwashed satin weave and stripe pattern creates a luxurious look and feel. The fabric face is a classic silk satin most often recognized for its incredible smoothness and natural sheen while the fabric back is a softly subtle textured silk crepe. Reversible stripes on both front and back. The sheets are woven using a high-end 19 momme weight silk fabric, are seamless and finished with a 4 inch decorative hem. The pillowcases are fashioned in the French envelope style which covers the pillow at the open end. The fitted sheet has deep pockets and reinforced elastic throughout to ensure a proper fit on
mattresses up to 17”. Set includes one flat, one fitted
and two pillowcases.
Care Instructions: These are general care guidelines for silk. Please refer to specific care instructions on each label.
Hand Wash: All Empress Silk duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases and apparel are washable. The preferred method is hand laundered in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap using a gentle hand movement. We do not recommend Woolite for silk. We suggest Charlie's Soap (at bottom of this page) or a similar pH neutral, silk friendly soap. Do not soak too long. Rinse in cool water and roll silk in a towel to remove excess water. Never wring water from silk.
Machine Wash: Larger items can be machine washed. Wash in cold water with pH neutral soap, no bleach, on a gentle cycle. Wash silk separate from other items and do not overload washer to avoid any unnecessary wear to the fabric. Silk dries quickly. Tumble dry on very low heat for a short time only if necessary.
Ironing: Silk has a resistance to creasing or wrinkling, most will smooth out naturally. If ironing should become necessary, press the damp silk on the reverse side with an iron set on low. Silk charmeuse (satin) requires a cool iron to bring back sheen.
