Empress Silk Charmeuse Silk Contrast Sheet Sets

Silk charmeuse, which is also referred to as silk satin, is most often recognized for smooth feel and lustrous sheen and is considered the "traditional luxury". These sheets are 100% silk charmeuse with a high quality 16 momme weight to create truly luxurious bed linens. The quality and attention to details are evident in the hemstitching, mitered corners, hidden button closures and seamless sheets. The set base color is Ivory with Contrast Trim.

Fitted sheets have 14" pockets to accommodate mattress up to 16" deep. Sheet sets include one fitted, one flat and two pillowcases (one for twin size).

Care Instructions: These are general care guidelines for silk. Please refer to specific care instructions on each label.

Hand Wash: All Empress Silk duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases and apparel are washable. The preferred method is hand laundered in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap using a gentle hand movement. We do not recommend Woolite for silk. We suggest Charlie's Soap (at bottom of this page) or a similar pH netural, silk friendly soap. Do not soak too long. Rinse in cool water and roll silk in a towel to remove excess water. Never wring water from silk.

Machine Wash: Larger items can be machine washed. Wash in cold water with pH neutral soap, no bleach, on a gentle cycle. Wash silk separate from other items and do not overload washer to avoid any unnecessary wear to the fabric. Silk dries quickly. Tumble dry on very low heat for a short time only if necessary.

Ironing: Silk has a resistance to creasing or wrinkling, most will smooth out naturally. If ironing should become necessary, press the damp silk on the reverse side with an iron set on low. Silk charmeuse (satin) requires a cool iron to bring back sheen.
