These high-thread count cotton and silk sheets are a blend of 70% cotton and 30% silk combined in jacquard weave with a contemporary scroll design . The blend is unique as is the look and feel. These sheets have a smooth hand, a soft, natural drape and just a hint of luminescence from the natural silk. The color on both the cotton and silk creates a tone-on-tone effect of subtle contrast.

Sheets are available in Ivory, Celadon and Camel. The Queen set includes one flat sheet, one fitted sheet and two pillowcases. Queen flat measures 90" X 110", fitted measures 60" X 81" X 14" and pillowcases measure 21" X 30".

Care Instructions: These are general care guidelines for silk. Please refer to specific care instructions on each label.

Hand Wash: All Empress Silk duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases and apparel are washable. The preferred method is hand laundered in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap using a gentle hand movement. We do not recommend Woolite for silk. We suggest Charlie's Soap (at bottom of this page) or a similar pH netural, silk friendly soap. Do not soak too long. Rinse in cool water and roll silk in a towel to remove excess water. Never wring water from silk.

Machine Wash: Larger items can be machine washed. Wash in cold water with pH neutral soap, no bleach, on a gentle cycle. Wash silk separate from other items and do not overload washer to avoid any unnecessary wear to the fabric. Silk dries quickly. Tumble dry on very low heat for a short time only if necessary.

Ironing: Silk has a resistance to creasing or wrinkling, most will smooth out naturally. If ironing should become necessary, press the damp silk on the reverse side with an iron set on low. Silk charmeuse (satin) requires a cool iron to bring back sheen.

Fabric Softeners and HE Machines:

Fabric Softeners are used to cover the residues that normal detergents leave on fabrics. Charlie's Soap is designed to clean all the way to the fiber and leave no residues, so no fabric softeners are needed. Please also note that Charlie's Soap is HE compatible. HE means that less water is used per washing cycle. HE detergents are often merely lesser amounts of the same detergents, because most detergents on the market do not dissolve well in small amounts of water. Charlie's Soap is completely water-soluble so it needs very little water to dissolve completely. Therefore, a normal wash load dose of Charlie's Powder or Liquid is small enough to use in HE machines. If you have used the full amount of Charlie's long enough to know that your clothes have all been washed at least 4 times and you are still noticing suds, only then should you consider using less Charlie's Soap.
