Holy Lamb Organics Wool Pillows, Comforters, Toppers & Moisture Barrier Mattress Pads
Fabulous, hand-made organic wool-filled bedding to sink into for a wonderful night of sleep. It doesn't get much better than this. Holy Lamb Organics manufactures a line of organic bedding for your complete natural bedroom. Holy Lamb uses only organic cotton fabric and pure natural wool batting from domestic sheep raised in the USA. Holy Lamb Organics uses sustainable practices and ecological principals to produce their products and are a zero waste natural bedding company. Wool bedding is perfect for people with allergies because it is hypo allergenic and the wool does not encourage dust mites. Sheep's wool is an incredible natural fiber. It wicks moisture away from your body, regulates your body temperature and provides a soft natural sleeping surface for you to rest peacefully.
Holy Lamb Organics uses wool from a pool of small sheep farmers who raise their sheep on pastures in the Pacific Northwestern States of Oregon and Washington and in California. The wool is washed and combed into batting preserving a small amount of lanolin for our benefit. Nothing is added to the wool after washing nor is it subjected to any chemical treatments . The cotton used in all of the bedding is 100% Organic. Better for you and your entire family. Holy Lamb Organics uses only US wool to support our local sheep farmers. Enjoy! What is Premium Eco-Wool™?
- Local Sourcing: Wool is sourced only from small sheep farmers in the U.S. This year most of the wool is coming from small farmers along the West Coast. This is quite a political issue, actually, since most of the wool used in the U.S. is imported from New Zealand and Australia, greatly undermining our own local farms and our economy.
- Sustainability Guidelines: All of the U.S. farmers who sign onto the Premium Eco-Wool program are educated in sustainable farming practices that are good for the people, the land and the animals. In turn, for following these sustainable principles the farmers are paid twice the amount they would receive in the general wool pool. It is a win win situation for everyone and a great example of how what is good for the environment is also good for the economy.
- Clean Wool: Not all wool is the same. It depends on the machinery. Holy Lamb Organics wool mill uses additional breakers and carders to produce an incredibly clean wool that is dust free and virtually vegetable matter free. Holy Lamb Organics has seen a lot of wool over the years and you would be surprised at what passes for good wool.
- A Word About Organic Wool: Holy Lamb Organics offers a few products that use organic wool, but it is actually only when they cannot find the same wool product that uses Premium Eco-Wool as they believe the Premium Eco-Wool is currently the better product. The majority of organic wool that is available in the U.S. market suited for making bedding comes from New Zealand and Australia. While it is great that there is a growing market of organic wool, Holy Lamb Organics believe that local wool which supports small U.S. farmers and creates U.S. jobs is far more advantageous than a certified organic wool- especially considering that there is a rigorous program to ensure the wool is produced sustainably. Holy Lamb Organics wool supplier is currently working on promoting organic wool from U.S. sources.Holy Lamb Organics products ship to US addresses only (sorry, no international).
