Empress Silk Square Quilted Silk Charmeuse Coverlet and Sham

The square quilted Silk Charmeuse coverlet is made out of the luxurious 16 momme silk satin.It is filled with thin polyester batting for easy care. The quilt has a tailored flange all around with mitered corners. The quilting is one inch squares for a timeless and contemporary look. The pillow sham has all over quilting on both front and back and comes with invisible zipper opening. Each set includes one coverlet and two pillow shams. The pillow sham has no flange.

Care Instructions: These are general care guidelines for silk. Please refer to specific care instructions on each label.

Hand Wash: All Empress Silk duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases and apparel are washable. The preferred method is hand laundered in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap using a gentle hand movement. We do not recommend Woolite for silk. We suggest Charlie's Soap (at bottom of this page) or a similar pH netural, silk friendly soap. Do not soak too long. Rinse in cool water and roll silk in a towel to remove excess water. Never wring water from silk.

Machine Wash: Larger items can be machine washed. Wash in cold water with pH neutral soap, no bleach, on a gentle cycle. Wash silk separate from other items and do not overload washer to avoid any unnecessary wear to the fabric. Silk dries quickly. Tumble dry on very low heat for a short time only if necessary.

Ironing: Silk has a resistance to creasing or wrinkling, most will smooth out naturally. If ironing should become necessary, press the damp silk on the reverse side with an iron set on low. Silk charmeuse (satin) requires a cool iron to bring back sheen.
